Mission
The mission of the Santa Rita Union School District,
a dynamic educational organization, is to assure that all students will be provided an
appropriate, challenging instructional program, enabling students to become contributing
members of a global community, by providing opportunities to develop academic and social
skills in a nurturing environment.
Statement of Beliefs
A communities influence is an important part of
a child's life.
Humanity is strengthened by diverse talents and abilities.
The ability to deal effectively with change is essential.
Morals, ethics, and/or behaviors are rooted in basic spiritual and
philosophical beliefs.
It is essential to raise children in a safe and nurturing
environment.
Parents have a shared responsibility with schools for the education
of children.
All individuals benefit from an appropriate acknowledgment for their
achievements.
Individuals benefit by being treated with respect.
Education has the power to enable individuals to maximize their

Strategic Parameters
Our Strategic Parameters are the
limitations we place on ourselves as a district.
1. We will not maintain or add any
program if, after evaluation, it does not adhere to the Strategic Plan.
2. We will not tolerate any form of
discrimination.
3. We will not take any action that
will jeopardize the financial solvency of the District.
4. All decisions will be based on
what is best for the students.
5. Stakeholders will be given an
opportunity for input prior to major decision-making when appropriate.

Objectives
- Our objectives, the desired, measurable
results we plan to achieve, are focused on student success, student performance, and
student achievement.
1. All students will meet or exceed
appropriate grade level standards as measured by norm-referenced and district
criterion-referenced assessments.
2. All students will demonstrate a
greater sensitivity, acceptance, and knowledge of other ethnic origins, languages and
abilities as measured by staff, student, and parent surveys.
3. All students will demonstrate
responsible, ethical, and positive behavior as measured by improved 1) attendance, 2)
discipline, 3) citizenship, and 4) student and parent perception.

We will restructure our resources and
programs to best meet our students needs and maximize their achievements.

Unity
To promote unity, we will establish
new avenues of dialogue within the school community.

staff and ESL classes for people in the community

Planning Team
The Strategic Plan was developed by
the Santa Rita educational community consisting of a group of parents, community/business
members, teachers, administrators, staff, and board members. It reflects the diverse
cultures and values of the Santa Rita School District.
